In plain English

Worcestershire County Council is setting up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to find and manage alternative education providers for children who can't attend mainstream school. They're looking for two types of suppliers: registered and unregistered alternative provision providers (Lot 1), and home tuition services (Lot 2).

What the buyer wants

• Provide alternative education provision services for children and young people (either as a registered provider, unregistered provider, or home tuition tutor) • Complete a Standard Questionnaire during the application process • Upload all required documents to demonstrate your capability and compliance • Be available to deliver services as and when schools/settings request them through the DPS framework

Likely requirements

Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.

If you are an unregistered alternative provision provider without clear safeguarding measures, training, or experience working with young people, you will struggle to pass the questionnaire; if you cannot provide evidence of suitable insurance and child protection policies, you will be rejected.

How to bid

This is a Dynamic Purchasing System: an open list of approved suppliers. You can apply to join at any time while it runs, and once accepted you can bid for the individual contracts the buyer runs through it.
