In plain English

A public sector framework (called a DPS) to help councils and public bodies across the North East, North West and Yorkshire hire design and consultancy firms for various professional services. This is an open framework where firms can apply to be listed, and then public bodies call them off as needed.

What the buyer wants

• Apply to join a DPS (Dynamic Purchasing System) for one or more of 10 professional service categories: architects, civil/structural engineers, surveyors, H&S consultants, ground investigation specialists, M&E designers, energy assessors, ecological assessors, employer's agents, or principal designers • Demonstrate relevant professional qualifications, insurance and experience in your chosen lot(s) • Be ready to respond to call-off requests from public sector bodies in the North East, North West and Yorkshire & The Humber region

Likely requirements

Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.

This is not a single contract. It's a framework. Small consultancy practices without formal professional qualifications and current insurance will struggle; sole traders without professional indemnity cover are very unlikely to be accepted. You must also have the relevant chartered professional status for your chosen lot.

How to bid

This is a Dynamic Purchasing System: an open list of approved suppliers. You can apply to join at any time while it runs, and once accepted you can bid for the individual contracts the buyer runs through it.
