They have divided this into 13 specialist areas (called Lots) covering energy, infrastructure, natural resources and marine assets. Companies can bid for one or more Lots depending on their expertise.

• Provide specialist technical advice, project support and expert capacity in one or more of the 13 specialist sectors (minerals, telecoms, transmission, pipelines, coastal, marine infrastructure, ports, aquaculture, nature conservation, carbon capture, new energy, offshore wind, or integrated energy) • Support The Crown Estate's portfolio strategies, operational priorities and project delivery across the UK • Supply independent, sector-specific expertise when The Crown Estate needs additional technical capability for specific projects or wider business needs

Requirements
What could rule a small business out: This framework is aimed at specialist consultancies and technical services firms, not traditional trades. Most small builders, electricians, cleaners or general contractors will be disqualified unless they offer specialist advisory services (such as energy consultancy, marine engineering, or environmental assessment) rather than hands-on installation or maintenance work.
