In plain English
The Construction Industry Training Board is looking for one organisation to run an apprenticeship scheme across South West and South East Wales. The contract runs from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2029, and the successful provider must continue supporting any apprentices already on the scheme through to completion of their qualifications.
What the buyer wants
• Deliver apprenticeship training and support across South West and South East Wales under an existing shared scheme model • Enrol and train new apprentices during the contract period • Provide ongoing support to all apprentices on programme, including those starting before the contract begins, until they complete their qualifications • Work within CITB funding and quality standards for apprenticeship delivery
Requirements
What could rule a small business out: Most sole traders and very small firms without existing apprenticeship training infrastructure, accreditation, or experience delivering CITB-approved schemes will struggle: this requires substantial capacity to enrol, manage, and support multiple apprentices across two large regions over 2.5 years, plus proven track record in apprenticeship delivery.
