The work runs from January to October 2027 and covers reviewing existing research, designing clearer explanations and visuals, and testing them with pension savers.

What the buyer wants

• Review relevant academic and professional research on communicating uncertainty and variability in estimated pension income • Develop evidence-based wording, narratives, presentation formats and visualisations informed by behavioural science, then test them with defined contribution pension savers using a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods and an inclusive research design • Deliver interim outputs, communication mock-ups and a concise final report setting out the methodology, analysis, results, conclusions and limitations
