The contractor will organise networking events, generate leads for venues and hotels, and help develop stronger regional connections to grow Wales' conference and business events sector.

• Organise and deliver a series of business events industry engagement activities across Wales, building on a previous pilot programme • Generate qualified leads for venues, hotels, destinations and businesses interested in hosting conferences and business events • Create and maintain regional networks connecting venues, local authorities, hotels, event organisers and industry partners • Provide regular reporting, market intelligence, and recommendations to Welsh Government on barriers to growth • Support a transition plan so that by the end of the contract, the industry can run these activities independently without the contractor

Requirements

What could rule a small business out: This contract requires significant experience in event industry engagement and business development at a national/regional level. Most small trades (builders, electricians, cleaners) would not have the relevant background unless they run an events or tourism consultancy business.
