• Provide a licensed saloon taxi (1 to 8 seats) with a driver to complete the daily school journey on Mondays and Fridays only • Ensure the driver is suitable for transporting a child with additional needs, including SPLD, ASD and dyslexia, with no passenger assistant provided • Keep the vehicle insured, maintained and roadworthy, and provide the council with the required driver and operator checks
Requirements
What could rule a small business out: A business that cannot hold a valid East Sussex taxi or private hire licence, or cannot provide a driver with a clear enhanced DBS check, would be disqualified, as would any operator without a suitable saloon vehicle available for the fixed afternoon times.
