Five councils across Suffolk need a flood risk assessment study to help them plan where new homes and developments can safely go. The assessment will identify flood risks and inform their local planning decisions over the coming years.
What the buyer wants
• Produce a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) covering all of Suffolk at Level 1 and 2 detail • Analyse flood risk from all sources (rivers, surface water, groundwater, sewers) to inform housing and development locations • Provide evidence to support each council's local plan review and planning application decisions
Requirements
What could rule a small business out: This is a specialist technical study requiring professional expertise in flood hydrology and planning policy: most general tradespersons (builders, electricians, cleaners) will not be qualified to bid. You would need to be a consultancy or engineer with proven experience in strategic flood risk assessment work.
