The NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board is looking for one large healthcare provider to run all urgent care services across Coventry (Lot 1) and another for Warwickshire (Lot 2). This is a single Lead Provider contract to manage everything from NHS 111 calls through to emergency department services, starting September 2027 for 5 years with possible extension.
What the buyer wants
• Design, set up and run a complete integrated urgent care system covering NHS 111, GP out-of-hours, urgent treatment centres, ambulance alternatives, A&E streaming, same-day emergency care, diagnostics, community response and neighbourhood urgent care • Act as the single accountable Lead Provider responsible for clinical governance, performance management and continuous improvement across all these services • Bring together and coordinate multiple existing healthcare providers, staff and services (primary care, community response, mental health crisis services) into one cohesive, high-performing model
