In plain English

Kirklees Council is setting up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which is an open list of approved suppliers that the council can call on whenever it needs external research services. Any organisation on the approved list can bid for individual research projects as they arise. This replaces their old framework agreement.

What the buyer wants

• Be able to provide external research services on demand to Kirklees Council and partner organisations • Demonstrate experience delivering research projects (qualitative, quantitative, evaluation, analysis, or feasibility studies) • Be prepared to quote competitively for individual research commissions as they are published through the DPS

Likely requirements

Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.

This is a framework for research services (analysis, evaluation, surveys, feasibility studies). If your business is a hands-on tradesperson (builder, electrician, cleaner, plumber), you will not qualify as this requires research methodology expertise and analytical capability.

How to bid

This is a Dynamic Purchasing System: an open list of approved suppliers. You can apply to join at any time while it runs, and once accepted you can bid for the individual contracts the buyer runs through it.
