Bath & North East Somerset Council is setting up a long-term framework to buy care home services for adults. Care homes can apply continuously to join the framework and provide residential nursing, dementia care, discharge support, and specialist care for people with learning disabilities or physical impairments within a 3 to 9 mile radius of the council area.
What the buyer wants
• Operate a registered care home for adults in one or more of the specified specialisms (Residential & Nursing, Dementia, Discharge to Assess, or Learning Disability/Autism/Physical/Cognitive/Sensory Impairment) • Be located within 3 miles of Bath & North East Somerset border for most services, or within 9 miles for specialist disability services • Provide evidence that you meet the conditions of participation set out in the Invitation to Tender
Requirements
What could rule a small business out: This contract is only open to registered care homes, so if you are not already operating a CQC-registered care facility you cannot bid. The geographic restriction (3 to 9 miles from Bath & North East Somerset boundary) will also exclude care homes outside that area.
