In plain English

The NHS is hiring an organisation to run a 3-year national project (April 2027 to March 2030) that supports Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs: peer-led groups run by people with lived experience of mental health or addiction recovery) and local councils to develop and sustain these groups. The supplier will deliver mentoring, training, resources and support to LERO leaders and local authority commissioners.

What the buyer wants

• Deliver peer-led mentoring and practical support to emerging and established LEROs • Provide bespoke learning and training opportunities for LERO leaders, covering governance, leadership, financial management, fundraising and workforce development • Develop and deliver universal and targeted support services to local authority commissioners and local areas wanting to start or sustain LEROs • Create reusable good practice resources and toolkits that can be shared across the sector

Likely requirements

Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.

This contract is almost certainly limited to specialist organisations with deep expertise in lived experience recovery and peer-led health initiatives: most general small businesses, trades people and standard service providers would be ineligible unless they have significant prior experience running or supporting LEROs.

How to bid

This is an open tender: any eligible business can respond directly to the buyer by the deadline, with no framework membership needed.
