In plain English
Orbit Group is building an approved supplier list (called a DPS) for construction and building repair work across the Midlands, East Anglia, Southeast England, and London. If you're selected, you'll be invited to bid on individual repair and upgrade projects, but selection doesn't guarantee any work will come your way.
What the buyer wants
• Demonstrate you can deliver one or more of the 9 lot types: resurfacing, structural repairs, drainage, external walls, fencing, roofing, windows/doors, floor coverings, or general multi-discipline construction • Prove your company has the experience, insurance, and track record to handle housing association asset upgrade work • Be ready to compete in mini-tenders when Orbit invites you to bid on specific jobs
Likely requirements
Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.
This is a pre-qualification framework: being on it doesn't guarantee work. Most small one-person operations will struggle because Orbit will expect professional insurance, audited accounts, and evidence of managing similar-scale projects; very small builders with no formal structure or housing experience are unlikely to be selected.
How to bid
This is a Dynamic Purchasing System: an open list of approved suppliers. You can apply to join at any time while it runs, and once accepted you can bid for the individual contracts the buyer runs through it.
