South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority is commissioning a specialist programme to support children and young people aged 10-17 who display harmful behaviours towards family members (such as abuse towards parents or carers). The successful bidder will deliver trauma-informed, whole-family interventions across South Yorkshire from November 2026 to March 2029, including assessment, therapy, behaviour change support and safeguarding for both the young people and their affected families.
What the buyer wants
• Deliver evidence-informed therapeutic and behavioural interventions for children and young people aged 10-17 who use harmful behaviours, including assessment, risk management, safety planning and follow-up support • Provide structured, tailored support to parents, carers and siblings affected by these behaviours, using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural techniques and restorative practice • Operate across all of South Yorkshire using a blended delivery model (community venues, schools, Family Hubs, online) with safeguarding and victim safety embedded throughout, with clear adaptations for developmental stage, communication needs and neurodiversity
