In plain English
Sanctuary Housing Group is looking for main contractors to build new residential properties, care homes, conversions, and mixed-use developments across the UK. This is a long-term framework (until February 2029) where contractors can join a Dynamic Purchasing System and bid for individual projects as they arise.
What the buyer wants
• Build new residential properties, care homes, extra care facilities, supported living developments, and commercial/mixed-use buildings • Carry out conversions and refurbishment of existing buildings for residential or commercial use • Provide services across 13 regions in the UK (from Scotland to South-West England) • Manage all work through the Local Supply Chain online portal
Likely requirements
Our reading of the notice. Always check the tender documents.
This framework is only realistic for established construction companies with £0–£5m+ turnover depending on which value band and category you apply for; sole traders and very small builders (under £500k turnover) will struggle to meet the financial thresholds and insurance requirements, especially for higher value bands (£20m+). You must also have demonstrable experience in residential or care building (not general labour).
How to bid
This is a Dynamic Purchasing System: an open list of approved suppliers. You can apply to join at any time while it runs, and once accepted you can bid for the individual contracts the buyer runs through it.
